Hi There, I'm Heidi!
I've always loved soap since I was a kid, and my soap making adventures began when I took a soap making class in 2000. Wow, what fun, and the possibilities are endless! I was constantly making soaps with my children and soaps for friends and family. Then I decided to try my hand at other bath creations like creams, scrubs, lip balms... I'm still coming up with new ideas! I strive to find the best natural ingredients for my products.
In 2007 I decided to start selling my creations. I became HeidisHandmades and got a business license and insurance. I have been selling online at Etsy, which has been a wonderful selling venue!
In the Fall of 2009 I also started selling bath and body creations for those who are into zombies, witches and vampires.... I named that shop The Bubbling Cauldron. I was planning to just do it for the Halloween season but had several requests to stay open all year!
That shop is an extension of Heidi's Handmades.
About My Products:
All of my soaps are made with 100% vegetable oils and butters, such as shea butter, coconut oil, palm oil, castor oil, safflower oil, soy bean oil... no harsh chemicals like you will find in store brand soaps.
My creams, lotions, and body butters are also made with natural ingredients such as shea butter, sweet almond oil, evening primrose oil and other wonderful natural skin nourishing oils. But they do also contain gentle preservatives... just the right amount to keep invisible bacteria from growing in the products over time.
I also add skin safe colorants and fragrance or essential oils to my products to make them pretty and smelly, my favorite part! I strive to find the best ingredients to make my products just perfect for you... so be assured that you are using the best!
Some of my products even have a sort of magical power to them, I will let you in on a few little secrets...
Feeling down lately? Anything lavender is what you need. It will completely lift your spirits and lower your stress levels. On a personal note... the scent of lavender helped me get through rough times. My Lavender Satin & Silk Cream is especially wonderful!
